I care for two children aged two and four. Job details include planning activities, preparing meals, and light housework.

During the fall semester of my senior year I worked in a clinic that serves some of the uninsured population of San Diego. As student extern I assisted the nurse practitioners in patient care through performing and recording a basic assessments and performing laboratory duties. I also assisted in office/managerial work through scheduling appointments, performing inventory on the clinic's supplies, and ensuring accurate and complete documentation of patient information in both a hard chart and electronic medical record (EMR).

As health aid I assisted the onsite RN in daily promoting the health and safety of 100+ campers and 40+ staff members each week. I assisted in basic levels of care including medication administration and first aid and documented on both paper and online charts. I also assisted in other areas around the camp including supervising activities and catering.

I volunteered as a caregiver for an elderly patient who needed assistance coping with severe anxiety/pain as well as activities of daily living (ADLs).

As a Point Loma Nazarene University student I had my clinical rotations at Sharp Grossmont and Sharp Coronado for my first year of Nursing School. I was on the medical/surgical floor of each location learning the basics of nursing such as head to toe assessments and passing medications. I had many excellent learning opportunities during my time with Sharp, from working with the experienced staff to high quality medical equipment. My time spent there as a student was educational and provided me with valuable experience.
