About Mackenzie Kuenz
Hi! I am a graduate from the University of British Columbia where I studied climate justice and coastal communities with a regional focus on Latin America. I am a climate justice activist and educator, community builder, campaigner and climate leader looking to expand my skills and experience in the public and private sector following many years of experience at NGOs across the Americas.In my current role I am running a pilot project at the Society Promoting Environmental Conservation where I am coordinating and delivering a 3 workshop series on Climate Action, Eco-anxiety, and Climate Grief for school-aged children. I aspire to pursue a masters degree in Brazil with coastal communities with climate justice and gender lenses. I was raised on Tsuut’ina and W̱SÁNEĆ territories and currently live on occupied, unceded, traditional territories of the Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Səl̓ilwətaɁɬ, and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh peoples
