Hello!My name is Mackenzie Lyons, and I am a full-time undergraduate student at the University of Michigan. I have serious ambitions of attending law school upon completion of my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and would love to soak up as much experience in the legal field as possible!I have extensive work experience in the customer service industry, due to my three years spent at Bill Brown Ford as a service receptionist. There, I was able to learn the proper practices and procedures that help to facilitate smooth interactions with all types of customers. I have also worked for the 19th district court in Dearborn, MI where I gained knowledge on innovative methods to improve my time management, organization, and teamwork skills. Additionally, I have completed a one year long paid internship with The Injury Law Firm, PLLC, while balancing a course load of 16 credit hours per semester, and I believe this role taught me excellent strategies for creating and managing an adequate work-life balance. Regarding my volunteer history, I have volunteered for two seasons as an assistant coach for the Varsity cheerleading team at Livonia Stevenson High School. Being able to give back to the program I began my cheerleading career at has been an incredibly special experience, and has truly helped me become more comfortable in a leadership role.Outside of school and work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, taking my dog for walks, and reading.
