A driven young professional, child health advocate and Honours Bachelor of Social Work graduate from McMaster University, who is currently working to make heartfelt wishes come true as a Wish Coordinator at Make-A-Wish Canada. My years of experience within the Social Service and NFP sector at Make-A-Wish Canada as well as within my previously held role of Family Services Assistant at Ronald McDonald House Charities is where my passion for working with diverse children and families within the healthcare and mental health sectors has flourished. With experience in clinical and community social work settings my connections in many communities have grown. These have assisted me with developing my skills to work positively and directly with clients and their families, as well as efficiently managing large caseloads while still upholding exceptional team work skills and communication. Previous experience as the President of the Social Work Student Society as well as Vice President of my overall Faculty Society has garnered me invaluable skills in hiring, interviewing, direct management skills, event planning and interpersonal group work. My work, education, placement and volunteer experience are varied, and I continue to hold advocate-based and person-focused values.
