Prudential International Insurance is responsible for developing and operating life insurance and related financial businesses outside of the United States.Scope: Manage the quarterly close and consolidation process for three international insurance businesses and a large US holding company with over $165B in assets. Directly managed and developed two to three financial analysts in reporting and analysis.Projects:• Managed the realignment of the US based International Insurance Controllers team consisting of 30 people with a project team of 11. This included documenting and mapping responsibilities to new teams, cross training, creating new processes, testing and process improvements.• Managed the financial integration of an acquisition in Chile. This included partnering with various stakeholders including finance, KPMG, M&A, treasures, IT and tax as well as the local operations in Chile.• Led enhancements to financial analysis for operations in Malaysia and India.• Drove multiple operational efficiencies including improvements to our quarterly tax package resulting in time savings of three days each quarter, leading a cross functional effort to review and improve our historical cost process, collaborating with the GAAP consolidation team to improve the quarterly equity reconciliation process, and streamlining our tax calculation files to simplify the review process.

Directly managed and developed 2 associate managers in forecasting and analysis.Projects:• Led ad-hoc initiatives in support of the International Investments CEO’s need for financial insights.• Drove multiple operational efficiencies including the development of improved workflows to forecast the balance sheet, creating forecast models for two JVs resulting in time savings of 80 hours per year, leading an operational review of the tax forecast process, and creating a process for reporting performance on strategic investments.
