I create the themes and ideas for the dance camps at Coppermine's 4Seasons location and then run every camp. I am in charge of 30-40 kids a week and ensuring they are always safe, having fun, and learning fun dances. I also communicate with parents throughout the week through What's App and send photos and videos. I hire and schedule 8-10 volunteer helpers per camp and have to inform them on how to best help me and assign them specific jobs for each week.

I am a volunteer recruiting intern for JMU football and have been doing this position since the spring of my freshman year. I help set-up for when we have receipts visiting the school and create and organize name tags for the players and their guests.

I began as an assistant to my dance teacher and now I teach my own classes and competition routines. My job is to be able to assist my studio owner in any style of dance or cover a class whenever I am home from college. I am also supposed to help rework dances if people are hurt or quit because I have a really good eye for knowing just how to make a formation look perfect on stage. I also choreograph solos, duets, and trios to go on stage at competitions. My job in this role is to give the kids a dance that pushes them to be better while also making sure they look good doing the movement.

I worked alongside my studio owner to learn the ins and outs of running a dance studio. I helped to create schedules from week to week, organized costume shipments and made sure everyone had the correct size, and also learned how to do the PR and marketing side of running a business. I learned so much in this internship, especially in terms of customer service, and hope to bring all I learned to future internships and jobs.
