Mackenzie is a bubbly, driven and hardworking individual, who has been lucky enough to live in, and experience many countries and cultures. She was born in London, lived in Tokyo for 6 years and Singapore for 13 years before moving to Australia to attend The University of Melbourne. Mackenzie has graduated with a double major in Psychology and Media Communications, as well as graduated with a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology.Applied Psychology is a niche and in demand area that is rapidly growing within the PR and Communications industry. This unique field specialises in the intersect between psychology and marketing communications by incorporating behavioural science and psychological models and theories. The ability to utilise this highly qualified skillset eliminates the guesswork of whether a campaign will be successful or not, because the work is based on genuine behavioural insights and scientific frameworks. giving Mackenzie a competitive edge within this heavily saturated market. Mackenzie has recently completed a 10-week Internship with one of Australia’s leading PR and Communications agencies alt/shift/, where she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be part of, and learn from the Strategy and Behavioural Science team. During this internship Mackenzie had the responsibility of working alongside major clients to develop ideas for marketing campaigns, social media content and brand awareness strategies, through meticulous market research, creative innovation and her innate ability to collaborate and work effectively with others.Although she is young, Mackenzie has an impressive resume, she has been the Marketing Manager, Social Media Specialist and Online Sales Coordinator for the retail company ‘Shopping at Tiffany’s’ based in Singapore. These positions allowed Mackenzie to learn what content is powerful, persuasive and compelling to a desired target audience as well as how to build a strong brand identity and create a loyal online communities. In addition to this, Mackenzie has also worked with ‘Sliding Doors Entertainment’ as the PR, Sales and Promotion Manager on the production of ‘The Lion King’ at the Marina Bay Sands Theatres. This job gave Mackenzie great exposure to what will be expected and required of her in the high pressure workforce, as this was a major musical production that she had the responsibility to advertise and promote to the public alongside a team of dedicated and intelligent marketing directors, whom she learnt a lot from
