As chapter advisor, I was elected as one of the few from a large pool of alumni of Alpha Phis. My role of this position includes member development and maintenance of many working relationships including campus administrators, chapter advisory boards, the collegiate Executive board, and Executive Office staff. I oversee all areas of the chapter starting from managing member safety, marketing and recruitment, and to ensuring finances are up to date. I am responsible for the management of a million-dollar chapter budget and cash flow. I guide the chapter to identify target members and make goals to keep our membership status at its highest level of performance possible. I also initiated a program to make our membership retention rates to increase as we identified that as a problem in the past.

As the lead bartender, I was assigned to assist in managing the bar area including cocktail and menu design. I maintain a daily inventory that effectively takes liquor costs into consideration. I provide independent opening and closing of the store and training new hires to ensure each customer is receiving top tier customer service. I enhance overall customer experience by providing conflict resolution to customer issues that may arise in a professional manner. I also helped create the beverage menu and helped with the new marketing strategies to promote them.

During my internship, I collaborated with local business to get donations including enough food to supply the two-week camp to feed over 150 campers. The non-profit organization did not have to outsource any funding for food since I was able to locate potential restaurants that graciously donated meals each day. I also helped maintain healthy relationships with local businesses so the organization could use them in the future by expressing our gratitude through notes that I dropped off after the camp was over. I utilized my organizational skills to make a more efficient way for the next intern to draft their list of willing donors for the next camp.

At the JW Marriott, I provided exceptional customer service that stood up to the five-star hotel standard, follow established guidelines to ensure consistency of presentation in all food and beverage orders, creating lasting memories for clients by getting to know each of them individually while still remaining professional. This role required a significant amount of upselling to drive profit margins higher.
