Prior to Pacific FC, the Victoria Highlanders offered the highest level of soccer available on Vancouver Island. They compete in the USL League 2 which is the 4th tier in the North American soccer hierarchy (MLS, USL Championship, USL League 1, USL League 2).

For all my years at UVic except one, I acted as the Men's Soccer Representative on the UVic Vikes Varsity Council. I was to be a liaison between my team and the Vikes Nation community. I helped plan events, raise money for charity and organize volunteers for the Vikes Nation community.

Through my time at UVic, I played all five years of my eligibility for the Vikes Men's Soccer team. It taught me the importance of discipline and working with others for a common goal. Over my years it allowed me to build meaningful relationships with those around me and is what I am most thankful for as I move on to other things. I was fortunate enough to be the Captain my last year with the team and Assistance Captain the year before that. Through the fall of 2018, I worked within the Marketing Department at Latitude Geographics developing my marketing acumen. My role was to support the other members of the team which exposed me to product, technical, events and digital marketing. Some of my accomplishments while at Latitude include:- Successfully conducting an annual NPS survey that was sent out to thousands of customers- Creating and implementing a system to automate cold emailing in turn saving countless labour hours over the four months I was there- Writing a customer story demonstrating how a customer had implemented Latitude's software to solve real world issues

Started and operated a small painting company which specialized in interior and exterior residential painting. Duties involved all aspects of running a business such as marketing, hiring, sales and production management. Through this process I was able to learn the full scope of what running a business is like and the problem solving that goes along with it. Awards: BC Rookie of the Year - Awarded to the top first year manager in all of BC for revenue generated

Kelowna, Bc

Working within the accounting team, I processed deposits, made records of daily payments, performed reconciliations and contacted clients in regards to collection items. I also helped with monthly and quarterly financial reporting. Throughout the summer I built multiple Excel macros to increase efficiency in our department which in turn greatly developed my Excel abilities. Projects: I worked alongside a Commercial Underwriter to create a Water Damage risk prevention program. This involved looking through thousands of claims to find trends and reoccurring areas of risk. The final report was specialized to a client with solutions to minimize their risk of Water Damage in the future.

Kelowna, Bc

As lead Lifeguard I implemented a beach safety routine that lead to zero instances of a water related injury. While not near the water I was part of planning and leading activities while promoting a fun and positive environment. Through working at the Boys and Girls Club, I learned how important it was to work as a team in order to convey a common message to the children; they were safe and we cared a great deal about them.
