I am excited to be working for the American Heart Association as the Development Director in the Hamptons. The Heart of the Hamptons is a year-round initiative that gathers the local community to join the fight against cardiovascular disease. Our efforts are focused on driving equitable health for everyone in the community. Our Year Round Mission Engagement *LEADERS OF IMPACT Leaders on Long Island who are dedicated to making an impact on the health of their neighbors. Each year the AHA selects local leaders because of their passion and drive to make a difference. The Leaders of Impact nominees raise critical funds for the AHA while driving the conversation around health equity. *SERVE DAY Meaningful opportunities for companies to engage their employees in serving the community. Serve Day is a dedicated day of action supporting community wellness to make a meaningful difference in nutrition insecurity, blood pressure monitoring, CPR education, and mental health awareness. *SMALL GROUP GATHERINGS Big issues impacting our community require a deeper dive by community champions. Small group gatherings create space for thought provoking and meaningful conversation that serves as a catalyst to transform the health of Long Island. The Heart of the Hamptons campaign culminates at the annual Heart of the Hamptons Celebration. This is the time to celebrate the progress made through the dedication of all who support the American Heart Association. Heart disease and stroke remain the number one killers in the United States. Thanks to education, community programs and scientific research funded by the AHA, we are making amazing progress but more work needs to be done in order to save lives.
