About Sue Macmillan

I am a co-founder of Ambito Partners, who provide coaching and leadership development to help individuals, teams and organisations perform at their best. Formed through the merger of Fields of Learning and TrafalgarPD, Ambito Partners is dedicated to building genuine partnerships based on trust, compassion, understanding and excellence. At Ambito, our goal is to ignite change and drive performance by developing people. Our clients achieve their goals by improving motivation and well-being, investing in transformational leadership skills, and nurturing high-performing teams. We offer a variety of services, including 1:1 coaching, team coaching, and tailored leadership development designed to encourage growth at every level. Through our human-centered approach, we provide new perspectives and the resources needed to create thriving workplaces. Our name comes from the Latin word ‘ambire,’ meaning to 'strive for something meaningful or of value'—in other words, to have ambition. We support people in achieving their ambitions and reaching what is meaningful and valuable to them. If you want a fresh look at your organisational development, visit our website at www.ambitopartners.com to see how we can help you experience impactful change and achieve your ambitions.I had an original career in the NHS as a physiotherapist and retrained in 2010 as a coach and facilitator. I am a trained actor and storyteller and specialise in developing communication skills, speech and presentation skills all of which are crucial for today’s leaders helping to build confidence and self-awareness. I hold a Masters in Human Rights and Development which embedded my belief in the diversity and dignity of all and this underpins my coaching and facilitation work. I strongly believe in lifelong growth and am particularly interested in the neuroscience behind our emotions and behaviours and how this impacts our ability to change – leading with your brain in mind. I use story and narrative in many aspects of my work. I like to support equality and diversity in the workplace and life transitions, whether that be new work roles, parental transition or retirement. Ambito Partners runs an AC accredited Coaching Mastery course which is an annual programme training and developing aspiring coaches. To find out more go to our website https://www.ambitopartners.com/.I believe change is a positive factor in our stories and this period of change is no exception.
