About Mac Prichard

I’m a recruitment and career expert, podcaster, connector, communications strategist, and business owner based in Portland, Oregon. My own career and my business are built on my commitment to service, relationships, and community-building. I own and operate Mac's List a certified B Corporation that serves employers and job seekers in Oregon and Washington. The story behind this business will help you understand who I am as a professional.Mac’s List, founded in 2001, has evolved into a one-of-a-kind regional job board and career community. When I moved to Portland after working in Salem for seven years, I started an email list sharing job opportunities with my colleagues as a way to keep in touch and serve my professional community. The list grew into an email newsletter, which grew into a website, and today Mac’s List is the premier job board in Portland and the Pacific Northwest sharing hundreds of the best professional-level, local jobs. The Mac’s List team shares more than job listings. We also provide free educational services for job seekers and employers, partner with local business and nonprofit organizations, and produce a weekly career advice podcast , “Find Your Dream Job.” We serve as a platform to bring together passionate job seekers and great employers in an effort to make work more rewarding for everyone.Previously, I founded and operated Prichard Communications, is a public relations agency that worked with social change makers across the country. Prichard was the natural evolution of my nearly 40-year career in public relations and communications, starting on the East Coast where I worked in communications and public affairs for a Congressional campaign, a major city infrastructure project, and a state agency, and later when I came to Oregon to work for some of Oregon’s most recognizable law makers. I built Prichard to serve organizations with a mission, and we were proud to serve top-tier nonprofits and foundations including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Northwest Health Foundation, Meyer Memorial Trust, and more.
