My name is Mac Benziger and I recently graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering with a concentration in design. I have project experience in both academic and professional environments and have a passion for product design. I have worked as a manufacturing engineer at Ruger to help reduce tooling costs and designed a part for production on future models. My capstone design project, or MQP as WPI calls it, was to design and build a full suspension mountain bike frame with a novel rear suspension linkage, and I used my 3D printer to make a full-scale prototype as a proof of concept. During college I had many projects where I worked as part of a team to develop a product. I have skills in CAD/CAM software; such as SOLIDWORKS, MasterCAM, and ESPRIT. I also have experience with materials selection and python programming. I'm an avid mountain biker, skier, and climber and my dream job would be to work in one of these industries.
