My name is Mac, I use they/them pronouns, and I am a freelance Screenwriter and Producer with 6 years of experience working in the entertainment industry. I am passionate about producing projects that give a voice to the unheard, provide social commentary and critiques, and offer new perspectives for those who consume them.When I was a freshman in college, I founded a theatre company that went on to provide paid opportunities for over two hundred artists, where we solely produced new and unpublished works. Since then, I’ve worked for award-winning documentary production companies like Mirabel Pictures and WeOwn.TV, whose goal and purpose is to tell stories that make a lasting impact and provide platforms for stories that make a difference.My favorite projects to work on center marginalized voices, aren’t genre bound (I believe all writing should make you laugh before it makes you cry), and allow me to utilize my long-time history in dramaturgical research and script planning.I am currently seeking a full-time role either on-ground or hybrid in Los Angeles, CA, or fully remote.
