My journey began at Auburn University with a strong desire to pursue studies in Animal Science, fueled by my aspiration to become a veterinarian. After a year and a half of dedicated studies, I realized that my true calling lay in a different direction.My family's connection to the maritime industry runs deep, with my father serving as a bar pilot working closely with ports. Growing up in the vibrant port city of Savannah, Georgia, I was exposed to the intricate workings of one of the largest ports in the United States. This unique upbringing kindled a fascination with supply chain management, which I eventually chose to embrace.To validate my newfound passion, I decided to take a proactive step by interning with the port in Savannah during the summer after changing my major to Supply Chain Management. The experience was transformative, as I got a firsthand look at the dynamic and ever-evolving world of supply chain. From managing the flow of goods to optimizing transportation logistics, I was enthralled by the challenges and opportunities within this field.Since then, my journey in the supply chain industry has been nothing short of exhilarating. I've had the privilege of traveling with the Supply Chain department touring other ports, as well as, aircraft and vessel manufacturing companies, and even several freight line companies. My goal is to continue pushing the boundaries of supply chain management and make a meaningful impact on the industry's future.
