I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences in May 2020, and since then, I have gained valuable experience in the orthopedic field. I worked as a medical assistant and a chief medical scribe at St. Joseph's Orthopedic Clinic, where I efficiently assisted several orthopedic surgeons with clinic, scheduling surgeries, and in-office procedures. In my roles, I demonstrated my skills in patient care management, medical scribing, and medical terminology. I prescribed non-controlled medications, answered patient telephone encounters, assisted with therapeutic injections, post-op care, and casting/splinting. I also maintained the work schedule for ortho scribes, communicated the needs of the office manager and doctors, and trained new employees on the EMR system and SOAP documentation format. I value teamwork, quality, and innovation, and I strive to contribute to the improvement of patient outcomes and satisfaction. I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills to new challenges and opportunities in the medical field.
