The responsibilities for this job include scheduling social media content for customers, engaging with customers via Facebook and messenger, managing customer complaints and questions, team recognition, personally thanking customers for purchases, as well as reaching out to potential customers for further sales. While working I was able to help them generate record breaking sales for their company. Along with that I have been able to increase brand awareness, as well as engagement within their social media platforms. During my time I have created graphics, banners, logos, and social media posts to drive up engagement rates as well as increase brand awareness and sales. Through this job I’ve helped participate in fundraisers for many wonderful causes including animal shelters, Feeding America, and Relay for Life!

While working at Weis Markets I learned many skills. I learned the importance of great customer service while working here as well as working with my coworkers as part of a team. During my time at Weis I helped with many different tasks including: preparing breads and pastries to be baked by the morning crew, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area and on the sales floor, and sometimes baking cookies and breads. In addition to this I assisted in packaging, labeling, and stocking items. There were times where I would also unload skids of frozen product, take customer cake orders both in person and over the phone, and also train new employees. My favorite skill I learned while working here was learning to decorate cakes and cupcakes. During my time here our department won the Cream of the Crop Award in 2017 and 2018 for the best bakery in Shippensburg.
