For over four years to date, Patricio has been the door opener in front of the Chilean government and the seafood and aquaculture Industry processors for Global Food Technologies, Inc. (“GFT” ), a U.S. based Biotech Research and Development company, dedicated to using its patented scientific food processing technologies to substantially increase the quality and value of commercially-packaged seafood, poultry and meat, and to make those products safer for human consumption through elimination of disease causing pathogens. Private missions were put together to learn about Chile first and now Chilean processors altogether with Regional government executives and several local University researchers organizing with government support to visit to the GFT Plant and also, visits to the Idaho State University in Pocatello.

Prior to joining Global Food Technologies (GFT), Patricio formed a Santiago, Chile- based International Business Consultant and Factory Representative organization that worked with a number of US-based manufacturers conducting market research, developing market entry strategies, researching and negotiating with potential business partners, planning and executing market entry strategies, managing their local business processes, and developing and building sales networks in the Latin American markets.

Seafoods and fish imports from Chile, seabass and swordfish sold in the California markets. Pacific Red Lobster processor in the Los Angeles area, regular sales to Taipei in China.

Patricio pioneered ProChile, the highly successful Chilean export promotion center, and opened their first foreign office, in New York. After five years working to promote Chilean products overseas, the Chilean government appointed Patricio as Senior Trade Commissioner for the West Coast of the United States, and then as Consul General of Chile, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA.
