My position was created in the company when I was first hired on. As a locally-owned company in its then 6th year, Thirst Wine Merchants was looking to expand its digital reach. I had recently graduated and had experience in customer service, journalism, and management. Upon my hiring, I dove right in to helping develop the content and media for the company's website: researching information on the wineries we represent, along with photographing 2000+ wines. Additionally, we began developing a new system for in-store wine promotions - case cards & shelf talkers - to help wine consumers learn more about the wines they purchase and consume. Now in my fourth year at Thirst, I have helped launch our website, create hundreds of promotional items, and plan and execute 10 trade shows and 5 charity events.
