Pitch and write digitally minded stories for CNN.com. Collaborate with other CNN teams to present stories across different platforms. Use visual storytelling to produce and edit a daily Snapchat story for CNN Snapchat. Discover and verify user-generated content on social media during breaking news and events.

Boise, Idaho Area

Covered business and local news by researching, reporting and writing stories important to Boise readers. Pitched and completed an enterprise project about children’s mental health resources in Idaho. Enhanced stories by creating photos, videos and visualizations to accompany writing.

Washington D.C. Metro Area

One of 15 chosen for the highly selective 10-day training program. Wrote enterprise story covering 2020 candidates’ mental health care policies. Participated in workshops about topics ranging from journalism ethics and online reporting to social media and covering government.

Athens, Ohio

Led and oversaw a staff of more than 100 writers, editors, photographers, designers and more. Planned daily content with editors, collaborated between staffs to ensure stories were complete and helped solve problems within the newsroom.
