I am an undergraduate at the University of Chicago double majoring in History and Religious Studies with a Music minor. I am part of the prestigious Luther Foster Junior Program for public service and am looking forward to spending the summer dedicated to its mission to amplify the voices of underrepresented minorities through policy change. Being an international student, I have vast experience working with and navigating conflicts between people who come from all over the world. This is especially useful in my role as Resident Assistant to Gallo House, Woodlawn Residential Commons. In this position, I frequently organise events for over 100 students as well as providing emotional support. I also have experience as a national swimmer, 70.3 Ironman finisher, and having an associates degree in flute performance from Trinity College London! These experiences highlight my ability to handle multiple roles and positions whilst maintaining high standards of performance across multiple areas.I teach swimming lessons privately and as part of a club environment meaning that I am used to working in collaborative environments as part of large teams. Still involved in the swimming world, I am currently a lifeguard and community swim school coach at UChicago and hold qualifications in first aid, CPR, American Red Cross, and a Judge 1 qualification from the British Association of Swimming. In my free time, I like to run, listen to podcasts, and crotchet warm hats for the Chicago weather!
