A resourceful, determined and hardworking young Interior Design student with a background in Textile Design and a strong understanding in the working of materials. I am eager to learn and develop my skills within a professional environment, in a role which is challenging and demanding. I have an organised and direct approach to my work ethic which is very visible within my designs. Development in the originality of my own work and the overall quality of concepts has allowed me to achieve high standards throughout all of my coursework. I would succeed in a sector where I am able to use my creative ideas and found passion, allowing me to progress as an individual within the industry.Studying both Textile’s and Interior Design has allowed me to gain valuable skills. Material knowledge, internal layouts and an understanding in colour are strengths of mine. Other skills include hand drawing, placement, display and the use of CAD programmes. Through previous employment I have gained various other skills including the ability to work under pressure. I have also learnt to communicate effectively which has helped when successfully working as part of a team or when interacting with customers. My self-motivating and initiative characteristic has allowed me to also work well independently when handling responsibility. This responsibility has ranged from managing the mobile phones and uniform for a company to the banking and lock up of a small business. Other transferable skills adapted from all experience include time management, planning and organising, decision making and flexibility.
