Passionate about finding progressive solutions to address the problems in our society, I had been completing a Law with Criminology degree at the University of Manchester, however had to withdraw when the cost of living hit. After briefly standing for the Green Party and working on their local and regional campaigns, I am now working alongside Time to Assemble to establish people’s assemblies in my hometown, and across the country. This is to introduce community, bottom-up politics to our hometowns, with those who feel the impact of policy decisions then having the ability to guide and inform those very decisions. We aim to build a lobby power of the people to provide an extra means of scrutiny to the decisions made by our local and central government, demanding accountability for the decisions that have very real impacts on the lives of the people of this country.I stood as an Independent in the General Election ‘24 for Warrington North and have committed to stand in ‘29. Over the next 5 years, I hope to foster more comfort in public discourse, with people finding it easier to discuss difficult issues in safe, respectful environments. I believe that this, strengthening our bonds, is how we counter the growing hate and rising threat of the far right and fascism in our society.
