At Magic Fountain Media I am solely responsible for the design of all print titles, ranging from two bi-monthly, regional luxury lifestyle magazines, to a monthly fitness title aimed at both consumers and professionals within the industry. I have redesigned a title in conjunction for its launch to news stand, and also produced various marketing and promotional pieces for both brands. I have also worked on the company branding and initial website layout (psd files) for a national fitness directory. I work closely with the editorial team and find that this makes the process more cohesive, as I can asses what the editors want to achieve with a particular feature, and ensure that my layout meet their needs. During my time at Mulberry I developed a keen eye for detail and advert design, while also building a strong understanding of the publishing industry and the design process from basic to more complex layouts using InDesign for the three monthly b2b titles I was responsible for.Updating and redesigning media packs • Arranging and booking in print dates, arranging purchase orders and signing off final proofs • Liaising with advertisers across four monthly titles to ensure successful communication and adherence to deadline • Creating/updating advertising copy to client specifications • Design of three monthly print titles • Design of advertising copy • General admin including answering the telephone and dealing with accounts queries.
