Collaborated with educators at Bow Valley College to develop their UI/UX micro-credential program. Students in the program apply UX principles to prototype interfaces for desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms. In the course, learners create engaging designs in Figma while researching user behaviour and project needs coming from multiple stakeholders. Interactive prototypes are then built and tested to ensure designs enable desired user behaviour.

We explored the use of cinematic “pre-visualization” (previs) techniques as a rapid ideation and design futuring method for human computer interaction (HCI) research. Over the summer, I designed and lead eight week-long design futuring sprints with different researchers across various HCI and computer science domains to produce short animated concepts envisioning the future of their research. After reflecting on our experiences in the sprints, we developed a One Week Futuring Workbook to support other Research-Designer teams in their futuring endeavours.

Explored interaction techniques with different media types during a 4 month research internship. Iterated on a feature-rich prototype system by presenting novel lo-fi interaction concepts and developing a BabylonJS web app built upon a NodeJS server.

Launched the Computer Science department's Instagram channel @uofc_cpsc and grew the account's following with carefully crafted weekly posts and story highlights. Performed video interviews across campus and edited raw videos in Final Cut Pro X to highlight interesting student projects. Tracked student engagement with the account over the semester.

Over Platform Calgary's 4 month student entrepreneurship program I developed Beat Bop, a company dedicated to empowering musicians with intelligent creative apps for audio sampling. The art of using samples of other songs to create new ones is an increasingly popular technique that music producers use today, but it can often take hours to isolate the individual pieces of these songs for sampling use. The company's flagship product, Stemify, looked to recent advancements in machine learning to tackle the challenge of separating individual instruments out from a provided source track in mere seconds.

Sketched and developed dozens of interactive data visualization prototypes with Processing.js and physical materials under the supervision of Sheelagh Carpendale. Launched vis4me.com on Wordpress to promote personal data visualizations.
