I am a member of New York University School of Law's JD Class of 2024. Currently I am in the Crimmigation Clinic, where we work to craft immigration-safe convictions and pursue post-conviction relief. I am also an Executive Editor on NYU Law Review, a student advocate with the Suspension Representation Project, and a student advocate with the Parole Advocacy Project. My 1L summer was spent interning at the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office, where I represented clients under a practice order. During my 2L year, I was a member of the Federal Defender Clinic. During my 2L summer, I served as a Rule 9 Student Attorney at the Rhode Island Public Defender. During that summer, I represented a caseload of 50 clients and conducted a trial as first chair with a silent second chair. After graduation, I hope to pursue a career in public defense. At Yale's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, I specialized in the social history of early modern England and the Atlantic world. In particular, my work addresses the intersections of gender, violence, and the law. Historical foodways are likewise a focus, corresponding to my passion for the modern-day restaurant industry. My work experience ranges broadly from archival assistantships to bartending, however I see connections throughout all my areas of interest. I am also proud of my work teaching K-12 students through Yale Young Global Scholars and at the Yale University Art Gallery as a Wurtele Gallery Teacher. Today, I continue my work with youth as a student advocate taking cases with the Suspension Representation Project. I am interested in juvenile defense and family defense as well. I am also a contributing writer for My Modern Met, an artistic outlet which keeps me grounded in my passion for art, science, and history.
