I am a lawyer and registered trade marks attorney with extensive experience in all aspects of trade mark law. I have expertise in managing the trade mark portfolios of businesses of all sizes, and advise on clearing, registering and enforcing trade marks in Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and internationally. I have undertaken numerous large scale and international search and clearance projects, conducted significant opposition and non use proceedings, and successfully prosecuted countless trade mark applications with complex issues through to registration. I also assist businesses with protecting their brands internationally including via the Madrid Protocol. I have in house experience having been seconded into the intellectual property legal team at a major Australian company. I provide timely, strategic and commercially relevant advice and have been recognised as a “Rising Star” by Managing Intellectual Property, Expert Guides, IFLR and Doyle’s Guide. Additionally, I have published widely in numerous publications including the Australian Intellectual Property Journal, the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice, the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin, the Internet Law Bulletin and the World Trademark Review.
