UofT Health & Wellness Peer Support Service offers one-on-one sessions with peer supporters who are trained to listen, support, and connect students to relevant resources on and off campus. Peer supporters receive ~40 hours of training that covers a range of topics including support skills (ex. communication, boundaries, and suicide prevention), UofT specific services (ex. Accessibility Services, Academic Success, and the Centre for International Experience), and intersectional topics (ex. Supporting 2SLGBTQ+ students, anti-oppressive practices, and addressing racial microaggressions).

Represented brands such as Tim Hortons, Fix Auto, M&Ms, Brazil Olympic Committee, and Planters.

Selected as 1 of 4 fellows for the Frayme Knowledge Mobilization Fellowship which is an intensive 6 month program that includes training on knowledge mobilization, knowledge equity, advocacy, and project management. The fellowship culminates with the presentation of a knowledge mobilization product chosen and co-created with another fellow at the 2024 Frayme Learning Institute in Ottawa, February 21-22 2024.I created an educational handout about atypical anorexia that is accompanied by my partner’s short-form video series. We found a shared passion in the area of eating disorders, which are underrepresented in mental health work, and further identified the impacts of weight-stigma, fatphobia, and stereotypes for those with atypical anorexia.

Myles to Mars is an initiative to co-create a scaleable framework for youth wellness hubs with young adults with lived expertise from across Canada. Along with the design of the framework, I also had the opportunity to represent the voice of lived expertise that was central to the project when I co-presented our work at the 2023 Frayme Learning Institute in Vancouver.
