In my role as Communications Director with an extensive background in digital production and design, I find immense satisfaction in leveraging my skills for marine conservation. My passion and expertise coalesce in my current role at the Marine Megafauna Foundation (MMF), a globally recognized organization dedicated to saving ocean giants and the habitats they call home.Grounded in the philosophy that accurate and accessible scientific information is key, my responsibilities at MMF extend beyond my title. I am the voice behind our PR, writing press releases and managing communications with leading news outlets like The Guardian and BBC. As Creative Editor of MMF’s Ocean Giants magazine, I oversee content creation, design, production, and distribution, ensuring our publication remains a compelling platform for marine conservation issues. In the digital landscape, I am the director and designer of MMF's website, infusing technology and design to create an engaging user experience that brings our work and mission to life. I spearhead our adoptions and membership programs, manage the email newsletter, curate our social media platforms, and liaise with our partners to consistently fostering connection and engagement within our community.Prior to MMF, my career journey has taken me across a diverse spectrum of sectors. I've been instrumental in winning major design competitions in Architecture, built and sold product design businesses, established manufacturing supply chains in China, even launched the first Maasai-owned and -operated e-commerce site in Kenya back in 2005, among other accomplishments.Whether it's engaging with the press, designing a magazine, or enhancing digital interfaces, my purpose remains to inspire change and advocate for a sustainable future for our planet. I am an environmentalist at heart and a designer and communicator by profession, and I channel both these aspects to further MMF's mission.
