Raaf - Airborne Electronics Analyst
Current• Senior Non-Commission Officer (SNCO) aircrew on the RAAF P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol aircraft.• Sensor manipulation of the P-8As complex sensor suite, optimised for anti-surface warfare (ASuW) and anti-submarine warfare (ASW).• Analyse and provide accurate sensory information to the crew during missions and training.• Conduct Maritime Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR).• Operate within a combat maritime patrol crew.• Provide tactical situational awareness to the crew and other agencies in time-critical scenarios.• Directly influence the aircraft's tactical employment through the analysis of incoming electronic data.• Use RADAR in surface surveillance, detecting and classifying contacts such as submarine periscopes, warships, weather and terrain avoidance and search and rescue.• Prepare and deliver various levels and types of briefs. • Conduct post-flight activities with internal/external agencies.
