Received the Simmons SURE Grant for Fall '18 and Spring '19 to pursue an undergraduate thesis in inorganic chemistry titled: Synthesizing a ZnO-SiO2 nano composite and embedding in elastomer foam for the photo-degradation of pharmaceutical compounds. Deliverables included a Keynote Presentation at the Simmons University 2019 Undergraduate Research Symposium, a 75-page thesis document, a defense in front of a committee of chemistry professors, and a Highly Recommended commendation by the Global Undergraduate Awards. This work continues to be pursued by a graduate student at Cornell University that I collaborate with frequently.

Employed by Simmons Tutoring Center to help students in all levels of chemistry including General, Quantitative Analysis, and Organic Chemistry with homework and in class problem solving, as well as laboratory preparation and reports.

Worked with chemistry students in quantitative analysis, organic chemistry, and research based classes during problem solving sessions. Attended weekly meetings hosted by the Center for Excellence in Teaching to enhance teaching abilities and student-LA interactions.

Prepared materials for analytical chemistry teaching labs, which included several spectroscopy units along with a focus on electrochemistry and water quality analysis.

Received the Simmons SURE and SURPASs Grants to fund work on using Phragmites australis, a local invasive species, as a biochar for manganese removal in drinking water. Deliverables include a paper, a chapter in a chemical education textbook, ACS Conference oral and poster presentations.

Worked under Prof. Meredith Hastings in atmospheric chemistry through the Leadership Alliance. Two months of work culminated in a poster and oral presentation titled: "Spatial Investigation of Urban Ammonia and Ammonium Dynamics in Providence, Rhode Island"
