Undergraduate Research Assistant
I study the memory of children and how it is affected by both leading and nonleading questioning styles during forensic testimony. Specifically, I examine laypeople’s beliefs on leading vs. nonleading questions as well as how memory works in children. Our current study is looking at how a jury’s verdict during a court trial is affected by expert testimony. I also recruit volunteers to participate in the research study as well as distribute survey materials.
