I study the memory of children and how it is affected by both leading and nonleading questioning styles during forensic testimony. Specifically, I examine laypeople’s beliefs on leading vs. nonleading questions as well as how memory works in children. Our current study is looking at how a jury’s verdict during a court trial is affected by expert testimony. I also recruit volunteers to participate in the research study as well as distribute survey materials.

Senior supplemental instruction leader (August 2023-Present)I lead review sessions for introductory biology and chemistry students with collaborative activities to implement important course concepts and material. I also help students develop appropriate learning strategies, study skills, and problem-solving methodologies. Through their participation in these collaborative review sessions, students' overall course grades improved.As senior supplemental instruction leader, I mentor new supplemental instruction leaders. I conduct weekly meetings with my mentees to discuss sessions and any updates. I also provide feedback on their session plans and hold session observations.

I welcome all faculty and students immediately when arriving into the Center for Student Learning (CSL), and I assist students who come into the CSL with tutoring questions. In addition to checking to make sure all tutors are on time for shift, I answer emails and phone calls. I also make sure all tutoring rooms in the CSL are clean for students.

I greet customers when they first come into the store and assist customers while shopping. I make sure the store is clean throughout the day and customers' needs are met. In addition, I package online orders and check customers out at the register. At the end of shifts, I complete nightly closing tasks.

I have experience with providing childcare for children ranging from newborns to children 10 years of age. I am a compassionate nanny who provides a safe and nurturing environment for the children I care for. I have helped promote intellectual, emotional, and physical development through engaging activities. Some of these activities include arts and crafts, outdoor play, creative play with toys, and reading books. Through the educational activities I implement with children, I help to foster imagination and creativity as well as reinforce math/reading skills for the child’s age. Other skills required for this job include attentiveness, responsibility, patience, organization, and problem solving. I am also certified in pediatric basic life support (BLS).

I assisted graduate students and staff scientists by cutting brain slices and mounting the slices onto microscope slides. I also performed surgical procedures to advance scientific knowledge. After I became trained on different skills in the lab, I mentored new lab members on lab procedures and independent problem solving.

As a keyholder, I completed closing and opening paperwork and ensured both the closing and opening tasks were completed. I also helped customers navigate sales, complete sales and process returns while caring for small animals and reptiles throughout the day. In addition, I resolved customer conflict using strong communication and conflict management skills.
