As a Jersey Mike’s team member, I was responsible for helping prepare subs at every step of the process from taking orders to check out. There were also responsibilities beyond preparing food that I completed throughout my shift such as sweeping, refilling napkin dispensers, restocking the sub ingredients, washing dishes, and restocking the drink cooler and chips (among other store maintenance tasks). I was trained on the meat and cheese slicer as well as the grill for hot subs. The job required constant face-to-face interaction with customers which meant customer service was always a priority.
