At Elephantine, I am a part of all FOH roles. We strive to have a real connection with the food and drinks we serve, as well as the community coming to visit us every day. I am making drinks, serving pastries, doing dishes, connecting with customers, and handling whatever other bakery tasks come up.

I was present for the pre-opening and opening of a brand-new bakery. Participated in decision-making regarding coffee beans and bar setup. Made coffee- and tea-based drinks, in addition to handmade syrups. Assisted with all other bakery tasks as needed.

I mainly spent my time as a barista, while also getting experience in other positions such as server, counter person, and host at a busy restaurant in Washington, DC

I managed the photography lab (including a darkroom, processing room, digital printing and editing rooms). This included developing and processing film, monitoring and changing chemicals in the darkroom and processing rooms, providing artistic opinions for photography students’ work, assisting in setting up and breaking down camera and lighting equipment, and troubleshooting photography students’ technical issues of all kinds. I also served as a teacher's assistant for a fine art photography course where I filled similar roles in the classroom setting.

I have filled many roles for the Murray Academy, including managing stages at the annual regional dance competition hosted by Murray Academy and participating in the general volunteer staff at the competitions, where there are approximately 2,000 people in attendance. I also assisted in teaching various dance classes for students ages 5-16 and coordinated and managed fundraising events for the school on different occasions.

At Coastal Design Magazine, I assisted the graphic designer with their workload by designing advertisements for local businesses that were published in the magazine.

Managed the store and assisted customers.
