I am currently an intern supporting the Economic Development team. I have had three major projects since joining the team in May. Firstly, I am conducting comprehensive reviews of 500 grant applications, contributing to the decision-making process for funding allocation of $7.5 million to small businesses in the city impacted by the May 2024 water main break. Additionally, I am project managing the graduation celebration of the accelerator cohort for Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative, the only municipally funded incubator supporting female entrepreneurs in the nation. Lastly, I have been supporting the Fresh Food Access Initiative, working towards the Mayor’s goal of 85% of all Atlantans being within half a mile of fresh food, through launching a website and a Neighborhood profile for Westside Atlanta.

I project manage the development and implementation of the Student IndustryFellows Program (SIFP), an executive development program for top-tier talent at the University of Georgia. I oversee the business development strategy, marketing/promotion, enrollment, and event planning while supporting outreach and development with industry, non-profit, and governmental sector partners.SIFP a signature Innovation District initiative housed within the Office of University Experiential Learning. The Program seeks to identify top undergraduate and graduate talent at the University of Georgia and prepare them for leadership roles in industry, government and community entities.

I oversaw a nonprofit social enterprise program within a 120+-year-old parent organization. In the first year, I implemented a redesigned workforce development program training a cohort of 7 Birmingham City School special education students in foundational food service and retail industry skills. With this solidified program model for production, I expanded the sales pipeline of the WE Made products: 3x profit by sales, 3.5x wholesale customers, and increased presence from 4 to 25 states. I was selected to be a participant in the international accelerator program, the Social Enterprise Greenhouse Impact Accelerator.

I conducted qualitative research and data analysis through the Photovoice methodology. I assisted in the preparation of reports and presentation materials to a multidisciplinary audience, including State of Florida government officials, nonprofit leaders from National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the faculty at the University of South FloridaThe Voices of Behavioral Health (VBH) Lab facilitates opportunities for behavioral healthcare agencies to amplify client voices and meaningfully engage clients in measuring the effectiveness and reach of agency services. Using methods such as Photovoice and participatory evaluation, the VBH Lab collaborates with agency partners to design, deliver, and build agency staff capacity to conduct client engagement strategies.

As the Communications and Marketing Coordinator, I oversaw the internal and external communication channels for the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama. The statewide economic development organization had two brands and seven social media channels, which I grew by increasing the audience by 156%. I did so by overseeing all in-house content creation – digital marketing, advertising, and website – while project managing marketing efforts through a partner agency of record with partner organizations, including contractors, donors, and media contacts. I revamped the internal communications processes and procedures by developing a six-month plan for organization-wide communications re-strategy. These efforts were meant to streamline, onboard, and institute processes for internal and external communication channels, clarify audiences, and implement more effective outreach.

I owned the pipeline of prospecting, interviewing, and onboarding new instructors to the platform. I managed all communications, including social media platforms, Mailchimp emails, and proactive Reddit outreach.

I served on the board of the department at Tufts University. I conducted over 20 interviews with potential lecturers and vote for which courses will be offered through the College. I aided in the planning and student outreach for the annual Voices from the Edge Janover Lecture.

I crafted the 11-week mini-course curriculum that prepares 22 fellows for their on-the-ground trip to Rubona, Rwanda. I coordinated 10 speakers to engage fellows in fundraising skills, interpersonal communication, and genocide education.

I managed the strategic communications for Millie Giving, a public benefit company that aims to streamline research on non-profits and democratize charitable giving for Millenials. In this position, I maintained relationships with the original 127 non-profit partners through the transition out of the beta iOS application to the website (milliegiving.com). I integrated Millie’s partnership action plan to incorporate a new audience of 1.6 million non-profits by featuring them on the website in thematic collections to promote their work.

I coordinated logistics and programming for a conference on dialogic classroom and campus practices welcoming 35 higher education leaders from 14 institutions across the country. An additional project allowed me to produce a grant report evaluating the success of dialogue-based training program for behavioral health staff through synthesizing quantitative data alongside conducting and analyzing five in-depth interviews. Lastly, I prepared multi-media blog posts on the Drupal 8 platform in preparation for the new website launch.

I evaluated the Girl Project, a critical media literacy education program in Lexington, KY, using the Youth-led Participatory Action Research method. This analysis included coding quantitative and qualitative data into NVivo 12 on gender identity and feminist propensities. In culmination, I presented the analysis to 15 Tufts faculty members in the Sociology department and Tisch College, and has since been published in the journal, "Cultural Trends."

I coached four second-generation Holocaust survivors to craft their oral, audio-visual, and experiential presentations for classroom education. I also analyzed best practices from youth-led social action campaigns in order to strategize techniques to reinvigorate inactive voters in the greater Memphis area.

I facilitated one-on-one conversations with 30 students to reach a more expansive and inventive approach to uncovering Jewish identity. From those conversations, I executed initiatives in response to the gaps discussed during conversations to create a more robust Jewish community on campus.

I served as the head staff for the eleven-year olds, leading nine staff members and 90+ campers. I facilitated the daily logistics of the age group over nine weeks, including programming and social-emotional functions. I implemented a new system of daily programming in which 27 counselors were supported to create and lead their own activities.
