The advantage to being a shopper/ stylist is having the entire store to shop from, thereby putting together looks that not only suit the client but that she will wear and enjoy for seasons to come. My position as the personal shopper at the Upper West Side store in Manhattan was to set up appointments for each client. The client would have my time to work with and concentrate on building their wardrobe.The fashion consulting comes in as I describe why and what my client should wear. Once we have built the relationship that is required in a fashion/client shopping experience, you then have a devoted client because you are showing them how they can look their best !
