Madeline is a senior architect, urban designer and masterplanner and leads the architecture and placemaking team at Synergine Group. She works across urban regeneration and residential projects seeking to unlock the outcomes sought. Many of her projects extend far beyond the built form of housing units, to mixed use town centres and neighbourhood plans. She has experience working with iwi, public and private developers on community development projects at all scales. Madeline also has local and international experience in strategy for masterplanning for tourism, education and commercial projects.With a keen understanding of the regulatory policy and planning frameworks, she provides professional advice for design proposals which support the desired commercial outcomes and simultaneously enables projects to stay true to good design principles. She acts as Expert Witness for both clients and Auckland Council as well as positions on Design Review Panels.
