Won a fellowship to continue work on a longitudinal research study tracking changes in college student motivation across the freshman year. Used SPSS to statistically analyze data from quantitative perspective, and worked with another student and professor to develop a coding scheme used to assess qualitative interview data. Some data will be presented via a poster at the Society for Research in Child Development meeting in spring 2017.

Aided in research efforts for Project Options, an NIH sponsored project researching protocol for affecting change in adolescent attitudes towards alcohol and drugs. Worked alongside researchers in high schools recruiting participants, supervising research and coding verbal data. Worked in the lab to review and enter data, and perform literature reviews of relevant topics.

Served in the branch of student body government aimed at educating the community about the college's honor principle through innovative programming, and providing non-punitive conflict resolution resources. Received 20 hours of mediation training from Resolutions NorthWest, and mediated conflicts between peers. Conducted forums addressing contentious topics within the community, and served as a liaison between the college Office for Inclusive Community and the Honor Council.

Organized and supervised all aspects of 40 person program, where at-risk youth involved with Friends of the Children non-profit are tutored for one hour per week on the Reed College campus. Responsible for recruiting, training and mentoring Reed student tutors, overseeing delivery of services to the youth and administration of the program. Also worked as member of the SEEDS intern team working to accomplish various community service goals on campus.
