My mission is to connect farmers who invest in climate-smart agriculture and sustainable practices with CPG companies and value-chain actors committed to advancing global sustainability.I witnessed firsthand the trade-offs farmers face between short-term profitability and sustainability. By interviewing dozens of farmers in Latin America and experiencing their living conditions, I gained a deep understanding of the challenges they encounter in putting food on the table while growing crops demanded by U.S. consumers.Driven by a desire to take action, I facilitated the first direct trade connection between producers in Guatemala and a CPG company. We conducted workshops with a women’s group of producers to co-create recipes and develop product branding.Transitioning to the commercial side, I joined Fair Trade USA, where I managed a portfolio of nearly 100 accounts, supporting their transition to certified sustainable products. Our small but mighty CPG team maintained a $4.5 million in revenue portfolio by collaborating closely with brands and retailers. At Arva Intelligence, I support CPGs meet their sustainability goals and SBTi targets through our whole farm approach to sustainability.
