As a 7th grade Science instructor, I worked to develop meaningful and rigorous learning experiences for all students to earn the highest teacher effectiveness rating (level 5) based on student growth on end-of-year assessments during every tested school year. I also worked to increase student access to health information through community-based programming and curriculum development. In 2015, I designed and implemented a community-based health program that provided 100+ students access to relevant health information and since 2016 designed a health enrichment class using state standards and embedded literacy and numeracy skills into curriculum. I also managed the teacher and student Google Classrooms platform by providing training and support to increase student access to research and technology skills.
