Currently, I administer a grant from the NC Forest Service's Urban & Community Forestry Grant Program to map and inventory the tree canopy in the Uptown District. My main project involved building relationships with other local nonprofits, the City of Greenville, and East Carolina University faculty to support a tree inventory project of the Central Business District. For this project, I wrote a grant application to cover consultant and equipment costs, and incorporated community engagement and education opportunities to build support for increasing green infrastructure.
