I am Maddy Hatch, a dedicated Player Development Coach and current professional basketball player with a wealth of experience both on and off the court. My basketball journey began at St. Ignatius, where I played two years of varsity basketball. Despite facing two knee injuries and surgeries, I earned a scholarship to Cal Poly Humboldt, where I graduated with a degree in Kinesiology, emphasizing Pre-Physical Therapy. During my time at Humboldt, I contributed to our team’s 2018 CCAA Conference Championship and two NCAA Tournament appearances.In 2021, I took my career international, playing professionally in Spain and Italy. Over four years, I helped two teams achieve promotion and played a key role in winning the 2022-2023 Italian A2 Championship, advancing to the first league.My training approach focuses on building a solid foundation and mastering the fundamentals of shooting. My experience has provided me with a deep understanding of overcoming adversity in basketball and life, which I incorporate into my coaching and mentorship. Additionally, I am trained in Pre-Physical Therapy, specializing in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and strength training. Currently, I am completing my Master’s in Kinesiology at Cal State Bakersfield.I am passionate about helping players master basketball fundamentals and gain the confidence to overcome obstacles both on and off the court.
