I am a New York City-based research and policy analyst interested in climate change, energy policy, and the intersection of sustainability and finance. I am passionate about conducting research that helps companies, organizations, cities, investors, and even individuals make impactful sustainability + energy security decisions. Prior to joining Global X ETFs, I worked as a Power and Renewables Analyst for 3 years with Fitch Solutions. Previously, I completed my M.A. in Climate and Society at Columbia University, and I hold a B.S. in Physical Geography, Cartography/GIS and Turkish at UW-Madison. Additional past research roles include researching employment trends within the US solar industry with BloombergNEF, solar irrigation in Sub-Saharan Africa with IFPRI, and a range of environmental issues using satellite imagery with NASA DEVELOP. I have also utilized remote sensing and GIS technologies to map land use and land cover changes across a variety of regions while at UW-Madison, and used GIS technologies for defense and intelligence mapping purposes at Continental Mapping Consultants.
