I am a Forest Science and Management Postdoctoral Fellow with the USDA California Climate Hub at UC Davis. My work entails original research, convening experts, researchers, and land managers, and translating scientific knowledge to support climate-informed decision making in local, state, and federal agencies about wildfire and forest management in California.My work facilitates knowledge exchange between government, private sector, and academic spheres and ultimately promotes climate-informed decision making in the management of land in California. My fellowship position is managed through the USDA-affiliated ORISE program.

I studied the relationship between design and ecological restoration and how it offers a new vision for what it means to design with and for nature for sustainable futures. Transition Design PhD research is about envisioning and realizing sustainable change across a range of complex systems—from food, water, materials and products, to transport, healthcare, communications, and education.

Interned in the Planning and Environmental Protection Division at Golden Gate National Recreation Area, an urban national park, to update and implement their Climate Action Plan. Contributed research and analysis to identify highest impact opportunities to reduce emissions from park operations as part of a long-term stewardship strategy.

As Head of Product Development and Co-Founder, I led the development of Healyx Labs’ products from concept to commercialization. I was also a part of the management team that oversees the development of Healyx Labs from an initial concept stage and served four years in a company leadership role. External product engineering teams report to me and I have full responsibility for our relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. I work to ensure our products are designed in compliance with international standards, integrated with a quality management system, and can be manufactured in a timely and cost-effective manner. It is also critically important to me that our products meet the needs of our end users and are part of a solution to bigger picture challenges in healthcare. Under my leadership, the team has designed and developed the company’s first product: the Kyron NPWT system, and prepared the product and documentation to undergo market clearance by U.S. FDA.Healyx Labs is an innovative medical device company dedicated to the implementation of affordable wound healing. Launched in 2015 out of Stanford University, Healyx Labs is a company-in-residence at the Fogarty Institute for Innovation. Our first product is the Kyron NPWT System, the most affordable and easiest to use wound vacuum technology for underserved markets.

Worked as part of flavor development team in researching and prototyping flavor aspects of a new plant-based food product that outperforms existing meat products in taste and sustainability.
