About Madelin Hernandez
I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health with a concentration in Global Health. Having lived almost half of my life in the Dominican Republic has ultimately shaped my career and professional goals. The lack of medical attention and education as a child has inspired me to develop a passion for public health and health administration. I believe health care is a human right. I am committed to personal and professional excellence, independent thinking, leadership, and exceptional written and oral communication skills both in English and Spanish. My current role as a Quality Analyst at the New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), a CMS qualified clinical registry, has given me the opportunity to coach hundreds of doctors on areas of improvement in quality of care for their patients. I assist eligible clinicians in complying with the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) program, a key component of the MACRA Quality Payment Program (QPP). My goal is to achieve high performance for the quality measures selected by the clinicians to improve the health of patients and have an impact on population health management in our community. NJII has helped me understand the importance of value-based programs and that regardless of the cost, patient care should never be compromised. I strongly believe that a community should not be deprived of medical services, no matter how low-income or uneducated the population may be. I am committed to making a difference in improving the quality and access of care.
Listed skills include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Management, Microsoft Office, and 12 others.
