I am an ABAR educator, administrator, activist, and artist. It is my mission to bring the skills I have cultivated over the last ten years to help the next organization I work for reach and exceed their goals of meaningful impact and systemic change.The most transformative experience I have had was attending the Urban Bushwomen’s Summer Leadership Institute in New Orleans in 2012. It was a 10 day intensive where we participated in dance, undoing racism, and workshops about poverty in the US. We got to work intensely with the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond and the Urban Bushwomen dancers to unpack systemic racism and create site specific performances that explored what keeps people poor in America. As you can imagine it was physically and emotionally demanding, but it was one of the best things to ever happen to me professionally and personally.
