I am an aspiring fiction editor with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to elevating the voices of writers. I will graduate in December 2024 with a BA in English from Brigham Young University-Idaho, with an emphasis in creative writing and editing. My goal is to contribute to the traditional publishing industry, whether as a book editor, literary agent, or editor of a literary magazine, so I can help bring powerful, compelling stories into the world.With hands-on experience in both writing and editing, I have a deep understanding of the creative process from both perspectives. I’ve worked with a variety of clients, from performing developmental edits on sci-fi manuscripts to refining copy for nonfiction guides. Additionally, as a teaching assistant in BYU-I’s English department, I mentored students in composition and creative writing, honing my ability to provide thoughtful, constructive feedback.I am driven by a high standard of excellence and an eye for detail. Whether working on a short story or a novel, I aim to help writers achieve their full potential and create stories that resonate.
