Hi, I'm Madelyn! I'm a Maryland native who's recently returned to the U.S. after being based in London for 3.5 years. I went to London to complete a masters in Material Design at Central Saint Martins (CSM), then served as a Graduate Graduate Teaching Assistant in the program...My career aspiration, is to create curated experiences and design solutions that consider and sustain the natural environment. I believe that the industry often overlooks key opportunities to design in celebration of nature without simultaneously compromising it. I see our relationship to materials as deeply interconnected but undervalued.I spent the past five years working in both the education and design, including collaborations with luxury brands for sustainable product design, museum and gallery curators for exhibition concepts and spatial design, and support to students as the Material Futures course graduate teaching assistant.Design is the foundation to all societies and, must reflect each society's history, values, and goals. Working and studying at CSM has enlightened me about the critical importance of rethinking our approach to authentic, collective, and engaging design practices.
