I believe that a classroom should be a collaborative environment in which students feel able to take control and harness their learning. I stand not only behind my students to propel them forward but also in front of a student to welcome them into unfamiliar territory. I embrace the innately inquisitive nature of my students and encourage them to look for answers to their abundance of questions. I aim to help students recognize their own self-efficacy and their potentials as young scholars to acquire and explore new knowledge.Virtual Learning Achievements:As we transitioned to virtual learning in March 2020, I was identified as an essential educational technology leader in SMMUSD. I worked collaboratively with district leadership to develop virtual content for students and present Professional Development opportunities across the district.• At the request of the SMMUSD Assistant Superintendent, I developed and led a professional development opportunity entitled “Using Google Slides and Zoom to Engage Learners of All Ages” for 75 district employees. • I partnered with SMMUSD’s Coordinator of Learning and Innovation to lead two professional development opportunities, “Seesaw for Beginners” and “Seesaw for Beginners Part II” for 50 PreK-12 educators.• I was asked by the world-renowned Getty Museum to co-facilitate a Professional Development opportunity for PreK-12 educators across the globe entitled, "DIY Virtual Field Trips." Alongside Getty Educators, I showed how I extended a Getty Museum virtual field trip into a shared learning experience for my students.

When the McKinley Instructional Coach took on a district-level position, I served as an interim Instructional Coach, focusing on the key duties of the role while maintaining my full-time position as a Transitional Kindergarten Teacher.

As the Annex Coordinator at Mirman School, I worked to develop Mirman’s after-school program in its inaugural year. I spearheaded the program’s administrative tasks, which, amongst other duties, included managing two Annex Assistants, keeping track of program finances and overseeing the bus program for Annex participants. My role as Annex Coordinator led to a role as an administrative coordinator at Camp Mirman. In both positions, I acted as a liaison between the program staff and families to ensure a safe and friendly environment for all involved.

I launched my professional career in Higher Education before pursuing a path in primary education. As the UCLA Fund's Communications Assistant, I planned and executed strategic social media programs while carefully integrating messaging within the university's branding and marketing guidelines. Through social media and e-mail marketing campaigns, I grew the UCLA Fund's Facebook fanbase from 200 to over 2,000 followers. I spearheaded the UCLA Fund's "Like Us" campaign, a Valentine's Day themed fundraising campaign that gained over 700 followers and raised $7,000 over the course of two days.
