• Investigate, assess and prepare responses to referrals from the Development Assessment Unit in relation to industrial, commercial and residential developments and the impacts on Council’s infrastructure networks, ensuring contributed assets are fit for purpose, and that development activities appropriately contribute to provision of municipal infrastructure.• Review, assess and process applications and enquiries relating to Building Over or Near Relevant Infrastructure, particularly with respect to Queensland Development Code Mandatory Part 1.4.• Provide specialist engineering advice, recommendations and reports, on technical matters to Managers, Council, Public and other organisations.• Provide timely responses to matters relating to traffic operations, including safety, regulatory controls, schools, public transport and infrastructure.• Monitor the initiation, planning, execution, controlling and closing of applicable projects undertaken by officers within the section.• Ensure that Infrastructure Services policies, processes and procedures are followed and that work meets technical and quality specifications.• Provide supervision, mentoring, guidance and advice to lower classified officers.• Ensure compliance with the provisions of contract engagements.• Refer matters that may impact upon the business, Council and employees to the relevant Supervisor or Manager.
